A mild, very firm white-fish. Moist and sweet tasting flavor. It's flesh color is white and can produce large portions of boneless white meat. Great baked, grilled or broiled. Our Halibut Steaks are sold by the pound. A two-pound portion serves four to five people. A year-round treat.

Halibut Steaks Recipes

Spicy Blackened Halibut

Ingredients:
  • 2 lbs. of Halibut Steaks
  • I stick Butter
  • 1 tbs. paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. each of Cayenne Pepper, Black Pepper, Garlic Powder, and dried Oregano
  • 1 tbs. dried Parsley
  • 1 tbs. Olive Oil
Rinse Halibut Steaks under cold water and let drain.
In a small bowl, combine Paprika, Black Pepper, Garlic Powder, Parsley, Oregano, and Cayenne Pepper.
Melt Butter. Dip Fillets into melted Butter and then into seasonings.

Preheat skillet with oil. Place steaks in hot skillet and cook 2-3 minutes
on each side until fish blackens and flakes easily with a fork.
