Chilean sea bass, also known as Patagonian toothfish, is not a true sea bass, but is a member of a family of fish found only in the southern seas. In Chile, it is called bacalao de profundidad-cod of the depths, but similarity between the two fish ends with their pearly white flesh. Chilean sea bass has a very large flake and is very moist and tender, it is rich and full of flavor, a truly exceptional fish. Our fillets are sold by the pound. A two-pound portion serves four to five people.

Sea Bass Fillets Recipes

Grilled Chilean Sea Bass

Ingredients:
  • 2 lbs. of Sea Bass Fillets
  • 4 oz. Honey Teriyaki Marinade
Rinse Sea Bass fillets under cold water and let drain.
Cut Fillets in 4-6 oz. portions.
Brush grate with oil. Preheat grill on medium to high heat.
Completely cover fillets with honey teriyaki. Place fillets on grill.

Cook fillets app. 8 minutes on each side, turning once until fillets flake easily with a fork.
Continue to baste while grilling.
